Hayk, known in Armenian as Հայկ, is celebrated as the legendary patriarch and founding figure of the Armenian people. His story is extensively chronicled in the "History of Armenia," which is attributed to Moses of Chorene (Movses Khorenatsi), and in the "Primary History," traditionally linked to Sebeos. Beyond these primary sources, aspects of Hayk's legend are echoed in various works by different authors and have been preserved within Armenian folk traditions. This revered figure, also known as Hayk Nahapet (Հայկ Նահապետ) in Armenian, translating to 'Hayk the Patriarch,' symbolizes the strength and unity of the Armenian nation from its earliest days.
*** The sculptures are marble cast, 10" in height by 7.8" width and 4.1" in depth. Each piece weighs 6 lbs. Marble is a natural stone and comes with imperfections. It is not a defect and a unique part of the process which does not warrant for a replacement. Bronze is a metallic paint over the marble ***
